Built in 1891, this lovingly restored classic example of early Victorian architecture oozes charm and warm hospitality, offering a taste of yesteryear but renovated with convenience and the traveller's comfort in mind. Peck's on Pine Victorian Cottage is so named in memory of a very special person, my dad - Patrick Michael Connolly - fondly known by his family as "Mr Peck", who sadly passed away in 2002 in Sydney . "Mr Peck" was his nickname, taken from the book "Peck's Bad Boy and his Pa", by George Peck. Even though my dad lived most of his life in New South Wales, he always had a special place in his heart for Tasmania and dreamed of running a bed and breakfast cottage. His memory now lives on through Peck's on Pine Victorian Cottage, and in our hearts.
