Travel Local
The size and scale of Australia’s bushfires are hard to comprehend. As the bushfire crisis continues, we’re in shock about what’s happening to our country, and sadly the effects are being felt beyond the fire zones.
Tourists both internationally and nationally are abandoning regional areas in droves, even in towns outside the bushfire zones causing significant economic damage.
As an Australian owned and operated business, we want to support other Australian owned businesses. So, if you’re able, we would like you to think about your next vacation, #seeaustralia (with your 4-legged friends), #travellocal, #takeanemptyesky and #buyfromthebush.

How to stay safe when travelling
The safety of our guests is a priority. Most destinations are now safe, but we have some recommendations when preparing for a trip and while you’re travelling.
- Research the area you are considering travelling to. We have included the best resources available in each state.
- Liaise with the property manager to confirm the property is accessible and safe. They can also provide insight into the areas readiness to welcome visitors.
- If the area your travelling to has been impacted, continue to follow the guidance of emergency services and contact the property manager if you need to change your plans. Also, the Holidaying with Dogs team is available to assist. Contact [email protected] or call (03) 8300 7864 at any time.
